Dr. William Coombs, LCSW
Director of Clinical Services
William Coombs is a Doctor of Social Work and Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently serving as the Director of Clinical Services for Sierra by the Sea and Sunrise Recovery Ranch treatment facilities. After completing 15 years of honorable service in the United States Marine Corps, William got his start in Social Work with Acadia Healthcare working with The Military & Family Services team. His natural rapport with the military and veteran community proved to be a crucial asset when finding mental health placement for his clients. Since leaving Acadia, William has worked in various populations ranging from substance use and addition to crisis intervention. Throughout his career, William has learned that despite the population, authenticity, understanding, and transparency are the keys to truly understanding the needs of his clients. Few things bring him more joy than to connect with clients on a human level, and William is most at home when working with veterans. Upon returning to Acadia, William believes that helping to provide a familiar environment for his clients is the best way for them to find the versions of themselves they seek in treatment.
