Meet the Staff

Lynette Mitchell, RN

Director of Nursing Recovery

Lynnette Mitchell is excited to be joining the Sierra By The Sea and Sunrise Recovery Ranch team. She has worked in the ED, mother/baby and surgery, but the majority of her nursing career has been in behavioral health and addiction. She says she didn’t go looking for a position in the field, “It found me.” Since day one on the floor, she knew it was where she belonged.

She describes her leadership style as that of both coach and cheerleader.

She, and her husband of 35 years, are parents to 6 children. Her favorite times are big, family gatherings, which include 12 grandchildren. In her downtime, she enjoys reading, writing, and indulging in a little British television, while her favorite place to rejuvenate is near the water.

She is excited about this new chapter and is grateful for the opportunity to join in the mission of Acadia Health.

Our goal is to foster a treatment experience that is built on compassion, hope, and caring, and fueled by excellence in the provision of evidence-based and trauma-informed care.
