Understand the PHP at Sierra by the Sea in Newport Beach, CA

Sometimes when a man is struggling with a substance use disorder, he needs a more acute level of care than an intensive outpatient program (IOP) or the traditional outpatient setting can provide.

The partial hospitalization program (PHP) at Sierra by the Sea offers a higher level of care than an IOP or traditional outpatient services, allowing our male residents to receive intensive therapeutic interventions during the day and return to their home or other place of residence after the therapy day has ended.

Also known as a day program, the PHP at our facility in Newport Beach, California, provides gender-specific, individualized care for our male residents several hours a day, multiple days a week. As with all programming offered at Sierra by the Sea, you or your loved one will receive personalized services based on a comprehensive assessment of your health history, challenges, goals, and recovery needs.

Some of our male residents step down to our PHP after completing an inpatient or residential program, while others enter at the PHP level or step up from an IOP or another outpatient program.
