About the IOP at Sierra by the Sea
Understand the IOP at Sierra by the Sea in Newport Beach, CA
Adults who are part of the intensive outpatient program at Sierra by the Sea receive gender-specific, individualized care for substance use disorders and certain co-occurring mental health concerns while also having the opportunity to work, attend school, volunteer, or participate in other activities that are part of their day-to-day routines.
Treatment at the IOP level is less restrictive than the residential program and partial hospitalization program (PHP) that we offer at our facility in Newport Beach, California. Potential patients who are interested in our IOP do not need to have completed a higher level of care to enter this program.
Sierra by the Sea’s IOP consists of three hours of daily programming five days per week. The average length of stay is 30 to 45 days, though it’s not uncommon for a patient to heal with us for two months or more should this stage of their recovery journey require more time.
Like with all programming at Sierra by the Sea, you or your loved one will receive intensive therapeutic interventions that are tailored to your individual needs and goals. Prior to your arrival, our admissions staff will formulate a personalized plan based on a comprehensive assessment of your health history, challenges, recovery requirements, and goals.
